COMMUNITY MURAL PROJECT
The Community Mural Project is a for students by students community project that centers students at the forefront of creating a visual representation and celebrates our history, values, and community by examining the past, present, and future. This project is grounded on our values:
- Social Justice
- Education
- Coalition Building
- Collective Healing
In collaboration with Professor Richard Gomez and the class, this community mural project feedback is based on:
- To understand that the process of this community art project is the true measure of value and is equally important as the product.
- The role of art in community is to connect and communicate cultures, values, and voices.
- It is important that we send the message that Art is for everyone, regardless of their status in society.
